ShAU-PK Control Cabinets: Purpose and Operating Principles

Functional Purpose

ShAU-PK series cabinets are designed for monitoring and controlling fire damper actuators—both electromechanical and electromagnetic types. The equipment is used in the following ventilation systems:

  • General-exchange supply and exhaust;
  • Smoke control.

Control is performed based on incoming commands— Both manual and automatic.

Operating Modes

The device supports two control modes, which can be switched using the toggle switch on the front panel:

  1. Manual Mode
    When the switch is set to the "Manual" position:

  • The valves are activated;
  • The "Automatic Disabled" control contact closes;
  • The corresponding indicator on the panel lights up.
  1. Automatic Mode
    In this mode, the cabinet responds to external "Fire" signals received From:

  • Fire control panel (FCP);
  • Fire control panel (FCP) of any model;
  • Remote start devices (RSD), including commands from the dispatcher.

Activation algorithm:

  • When at least one "Fire" signal opens, the valve actuators are activated;
  • When all "Fire" signals close, The valves return to their original position.

Valve Status Monitoring

Regardless of the selected control mode, the cabinet provides:

  • valve end position monitoring (Open/Closed);
  • current status indication;
  • data dispatching - Subject to the connection of limit switches built into the drive.
