Installation:
Prior to installation, it is necessary to inspect the ABRA-YF-3016-D mesh flange cast iron filter. If damage, defects resulting from improper transportation or storage are found, the ABRA-YF-3016-D mesh flanged cast iron filter is not allowed to be put into operation without the consent of the seller. Before installation, remove the plastic plugs. The mesh filter on a horizontal pipeline is installed in a horizontal position with the cover down. On a horizontal steam line, the cover must be installed sideways to prevent the filter bowl from filling with condensate. Vertical installation is only possible with flow direction from top to bottom. The direction of the medium flow through the flanged filter must match the arrow on the filter housing. Flanged connections should be tightened evenly in three or even four passes, crisscross sequence.
Note:
To quickly clean the mesh filter from accumulated contaminants, you can use the drain plug located on the filter cover. For the convenience of filter maintenance without shutting down the system, a drain cock can be installed instead of a plug. In the absence of such a tap, the plug can only be opened when the system is turned off. Depending on the quality of the working environment and the requirements for the operating conditions of the protected equipment, the flange filter must be serviced, as a rule, at least once a year. When installing a mesh filter with a mesh cell smaller than the standard size, the filter must be serviced at least twice a year. When contaminated, the pressure drop across the filter screen of any manufacturer increases dramatically. To completely clean the filter, it is necessary to remove the cover and remove the screen. Then the mesh must be washed under running water to remove foreign particles, inspect for damage, and if necessary, replace. When refitting the cover, it is recommended to use a new gasket.
Working environment:
Water, steam, neutral and inert gases, condensate, mineral and synthetic oils, etc.
