With fluctuating flow rates, the Woltman type WS (Woltman with perpendicular impeller axis) shows its advantages. Since the impeller is located perpendicular to the axis of the pipeline, then for this sensor there is no need to transfer the rotary motion along the worm gear into the counting mechanism.
Due to the reduced friction in WS meters, lower values are required for starting compared to WP meters (Woltman with parallel impeller axis). The hydrodynamic optimized turbine operates reliably even at low flows and has sufficient "spare" capacity to accommodate flow limits. First of all, the long service life of the meter is guaranteed by the reinforced bearings with low friction.
Retrofitting with active and passive pulse encoders can be carried out at any time without damaging the test seal. NAMUR pulse, optical and inductive sensors provide all possible sensor options and make integration into a data transmission system a breeze.
