The counter of the new ETKD and ETWD for hot water is technically modernized and has a new concept. As a result, it is equipped with a protected magnetic coupling, which gives optimum results in terms of measurement accuracy and stability. The new single-jet meter guarantees reliable data recording for the individual calculation of water consumption in apartments and, thanks to numerous technical options, is optimally equipped for future work.
ZENNER offers the new ETKD and ETWD meters in three versions. The basic model is equipped with an 8-roller counting mechanism in accordance with the standards and allows reading results with an accuracy of one liter. The 7-roller counter model additionally offers remote meter reading via a pulse encoder.
The technical breakthrough is the single-jet sensor with a newly developed modulator disc. This enables electronic reading without reverse action and is the basis for remote reading of meter data via radio (wireless reading via M-Bus in OMS) or via M-Bus. For example, in houses with a large number of rooms, the data from many meters can be read out within a short time and then transferred digitally into the costing system.
ETKD has other features besides remote reading capabilities; it is available as an option “Copper Can” (protection class IP 68). With this design, the counter is equipped with a robust copper sheath and is protected from condensation and environmental influences.
