Control cabinets for shut-off and control valves

Electrified Valve Control Cabinets: Functional Capabilities

The devices are designed for the integrated control of two types of valves:

Operating Modes and Compatibility

The cabinet supports two control options:

The equipment is adapted to operate with two types of asynchronous electric motors:

Mode switching mechanism

The operating mode is selected using a three-position switch on the front panel of the cabinet. Available positions:

  • "Remote"— Activate remote control;
  • "Stop"—emergency stop or pause;
  • "Local"—switch to local control from the cabinet panel.

In the "Local" mode, the electric drive is controlled from the front panel of the cabinet. The desired action is selected by moving the switch to the "Open," "Stop," or "Close" positions.

The valve opens or closes until the limit switches are triggered and stops at the end positions.

In the "Remote" mode, the valve is controlled by two external independent relay signals: "Open" and "Close." If no signals are received, the valve stops. The valve opens or closes until the limit switches are triggered.

For remote mode, there are two options for connecting external control signals (see diagram):

  1. "Connection I" - control of shut-off valves ("Open", "Close").
  2. "Connection II" - control of control valves ("More" or "Less" opening).

If the valve jams, a command from the torque switches triggers an emergency shutdown of the valve. When the "Open" or "Closed" extreme positions are reached, the corresponding indicator lights up on the front panel of the control cabinet. If the valve jams or another emergency condition occurs, the "Alarm" indicator lights up. These conditions are accompanied by the switching of the control contacts on the external terminal block of the control cabinet.
